Menglian County in Yunnan Province borders Myanmar and historically was an important intersection of the Ancient Tea Horse Road . Nayun Ancient Town in Menglian County has retained complete Dai architecture of ancient times . Its style is very similar to Burmese architecture and has a strong Southeast Asian style . Nayun Ancient Town contains rich and colorful Dai Tusi culture , as well as religious architecture and festival folklore , as well as ethnic costumes and local traditional food . Nayun Town is composed of three cities and two towns . The three cities include Shangcheng , Zhongcheng and Xiacheng , and the two towns include Mangfanggang and Mangfangmao .
