Ganlan Dam is located in Menghan Town , about 30 kilometers southeast of Jinghong City , where flowers bloom in all season , green mountains and green waters . It is a place that embodies the characteristics of Xishuangbanna Dai people’s dwellings and tropical scenery . It is also a place where the ancient tea horse road passes . If you compare Ganlanba to the tail of a peacock , the beautiful and rich Dai villages on Ganlanba are the shiny motleys that decorate the tail of the peacock . There are five well-preserved natural villages of Dai nationality in the Dai Nationality Park , covering an area of 3.36 square kilometers . The scenery here is beautiful , the folk customs is simple , full of poetry and picturesque , verdant green throughout the year , surrounded by bamboo forests , and fruit trees , sprinkling thick green shades on the village.
When you walk into the scenic spot , you can see the bamboo buildings of Dai family nestled among the green trees and bamboos . The fragrance of tropical flowers blows in the wind , and it is quiet and peaceful . The bamboo building is divided into upper and lower floors . The lower layer is used for stacking sundries , parking vehicles and raising livestock , and the upper layer are used for living . It is said that the places where Dai people lived in the past were often haunted by wild beasts . Living upstairs can prevent wild beasts from attacking , as well as moisture and earthquake . Now many Dai families here have established Dai family music , providing meals and accommodation at low prices . If you have plenty of time , you can live in this bamboo building for a few days to experience the hospitality etiquette of the Dai family , drink slowly , and taste carefully . The beauty and charm of the Dai family will be infinitely integrated with one drink , one taste and one food . The fun and charm .
Manchunman Buddhist Temple was built in 583 AD and has a history of more than 1,400 years . Legend has it that it was the first Buddhist temple built after Buddhism was introduced to Xishuangbanna . The original Buddhist temple was destroyed in the 1960s . The Buddhist temple that people sees / saw today was built in the late 1970s . The splendid pagodas and temples form the connection between man and Buddha between the heaven and the earth . The Buddha appears here , and people look forward to it here . Manchun is full of Dai language , meaning Huayuanzhai . Legend has it that the emissary of Jinghong Xuanwei once sent people to plant flowers here , and later developed into a village , hence the name Man Chunman-Garden Village . The Dai Garden is composed of 5 Dai villages of Manjiang , Manchunman , Mancha , Mante , and Manga , with Manchunman Buddhist Temple as the core . Manchunman Temple is well-known in Southeast Asia . During the annual major Buddhist events , monks and believers from Sri Lanka , Thailand , Myanmar , Laos , Xishuangbanna and other places gather at Manchunman Temple for worship and chanting activities . There are no tourists in the Buddhist temple. So I can take pictures without interruption .
Walked out of the Buddhist temple , walked through the splashing water square , and came to a bamboo building called ” Yanxiang Dai’s Inn ” , where you can have lunch and splashing water show to began . Dozens of Dai girls and boys in bright costumes surrounded the white elephant The sculpture stands in the water , splashing water with the melodious music performance . Several young males and female tourists put on Dai costumes and walked into the pool to splash water and take photos . The performance reached a climax . The Dai girls and the tourists splashed water with each other , and everyone in the pool was soaked all over . I took the lively scenes one by one into the camera at different locations in Splashing Square . After splashing the water , my wife and I visited the Mancha and Manting Buddha Temples . However , these two Buddhist temples are far inferior to the Man Chunman Buddhist temple in terms of scale and incense .
The Mante Buddhist Temple is at the end of the entire scenic spot. So you should turn around and return . My wife and I walked back along the road near Longde Lake . On the roadside , there are still many Dai bamboo buildings and Dai inns . The only downside is that there are too few tourists and a little deserted . It was past 4 o’clock in the afternoon after I walked out of the gate of the Dai Nationality Garden . I boarded the long-distance bus bound for Jinghong at the Ganlanba Bus Terminal .
